I
have always believed in the importance of community involvement, advocacy and
activism to provide opportunities to others. As Republicans, we believe
in providing opportunities for those who are willing to do the hard work in
succeeding and overcoming obstacles, mostly through dedicating ourselves
personally to those causes rather than through government-sponsored methods.
Many
of the causes I have supported are focused on education of young people through
scholarships, business and employment opportunities. In some cases I have
served as Executive Director or Board Member, in other cases I have contributed
financially to their cause. These causes include:
-
Network for Teaching
Entrepreneurship (DC Area Board Member 2004-2011)
-
Miss DC Scholarship
Organization (Executive Director 2006-present)
-

School – Amigos Program
-

-

-
